Stoddard & Associates was founded in 2002 by Sonia von Matt Stoddard and has offices located in California and Nevada, with partners throughout the United States.  We currently have Affiliate Brokers with offices in the states of California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Nevada, New York, and Washington.

Sonia v.M.Stoddard Elected Vice President of the National Association of Equipment Leasing Brokers Board of Directors LOS ANGELES, CA - April 19, 2008, Sonia v.M. Stoddard, Executive Director of Stoddard & Associates, Independent Equipment Lease Finance Experts, in Los Angeles, CA, was elected Vice President of the Board of Directors for the National Association of Equipment Leasing Brokers (NAELB).  Sonia has been active in the equipment leasing industry since 1986.

NAELB is an organization formed in 1989 to promote the interests of equipment leasing brokers through education, advocacy, improved communication with funders and programs designed to upgrade the professionalism and profitability of brokers, funders and others engaged in the business of equipment lease financing. Sonia von Matt Stoddard, principal of Stoddard & Associates, formerly with ABN-AMRO, American Equipment Leasing and CitiCapital, some of the country's largest lease funding sources, has structured leases and loans for over 300 law firms, as well as a myriad of non-legal businesses.  Before joining the bank and finance world where she remained for just over eleven years, she was a legal administrator and paralegal manager and is author of a university textbook, Legal Assistant's Letter Book, published by Prentice Hall (1996).  She was also the "Legal Writing" staff columnist for Legal Assistant Today magazine and has written several nationally published articles of interest to law firms and business managers.  She has conducted over 100 educational programs and workshops to trade and professional organizations and conferences and is a respected, noted speaker.

NAELB Best Practices Broker Status Ô    In 2008, the National Association of Equipment Lease Brokers (NAELB) launched an ethics certification program.  Ms. Stoddard was one of the first people to apply for and pass the exam on her first attempt.

The NAELB offers this certification for their members in good standing, of at least two years.  The designation recognizes one’s ability to apply the Code of Ethics to everyday business practices.  Though the certification process, we display that we have demonstrated our ability to apply the Code to general business practices in situations that we may face during our daily business operations.  Those passing the Ethics exam have earned the right to utilize the “NAELB Best Practices BrokerÔ” certification that is licensed by the NAELB.
